MacUpdate is an application for the Macintosh that keeps folders and volumes "up-to-date". Some call this process of “updating” directories “File Reconciliation”, or “Folder Synchronization”. MacUpdate is especially well-suited for performing routine backups, and will save the user time and frustration by automating this tedious process with an easy-to-use intuitive interface. MacUpdate will also be of great value to anyone who works on two or more Macs at the same time (one at home and one at the office), and needs to keep folders or entire volumes current with one another.
MacUpdate makes calls directly to the HFS filing system, so please don’t try to run it on a Mac with a system version prior to 6.0.5. HFS directories include, and this program works well with: Hard Disks and Partitions, Floppies, SyQuest Drives, AppleTalk and EtherNet Servers; pretty much anything you can mount on your desktop!
